Anesthesia Providers – Navigate the MAR

Review a patient's medications and document administrations more quickly using the improved MAR layout. While the look and feel of the MAR is different, your workflows haven't changed.

Review a Patient's Medications

Each medication row now takes up less space, so you can easily review a patient's medications at a high level with less scrolling. Due and documented medications appear on the MAR in administration bubbles, along with time, action, and dose.

· See all medications due in a given hour by placing your mouse pointer over that hour in the time header. Click once in the header to open the administration window for those medications.

· View past and future shifts by clicking the back or forward arrows on the time header.

· Return to the current time by clicking Go to Now.

· View a specific date by entering it in the field.

MAR at a Glance

A. View order details for one medication by clicking the medication row. Toggle order details on and off for all medications by clicking Details.

B. View administration instructions for one medication by hovering your mouse over . View administration instructions for all medications by clicking and selecting the Expand Admin Instructions check box.

C. If there is more than one administration for a given hour; view the earlier administrations by clicking . View all administrations for all medications by clicking All Admins.

In the redesigned Administration window, all medication information now appears on the left side, and all fields for documentation appear on the right.

You Can Also...

· Change the font size of the MAR by clicking and selecting an option in the Font size field.

· Sort medications by name, route, or order date by clicking and selecting an option in the Sort by field.
